The Godwits are generally winter visitors to our area but, in late Spring or early Autumn, it is sometimes possible to see them in full Summer plumage.

Although the Godwit is a wader, it seems that its bill is equally adapted to foraging for food on grass, as this video, shot at Keyhaven in October 2016, shows.
