We first came across this colourful bird on a walk in the New Forest, but never got close to getting a picture. We have since done the same walk several times and on most occasions again caught a fleeting glimpse of Bullfinches in much the same spot.

At last, one bird seemed sufficiently engrossed in feeding low down on a bush by the path to give me time to get the camera out. After previous failures though, I settled for these rather distant shots, rather than try to get any closer.
