These two birds landed on the field next to our model flying site and grazed around for a while before moving on.

I had no idea what they were but was able to get a few photographs and look them up in the books when I got home.

Apparently the Egyptian goose started off as an escape from private collections and then established itself in the wild in East Anglia from where it has steadily spread around the south of England. Still a fairly unusual sight round here though, I'm told.
