The Dartford Warblers again put in an appearance during a brief cold snap enabling me to get a few very distant pictures.

The star of the month though was a solitary Black Redstart. This beautiful bird was moving around amonst the rocks by the seashore but, although I hoped it was going to over-winter here, it was nowhere to be found the following day and hasn't been seen since.

The Turnstones have not been around this month, perhaps due to the generally rougher seas, but a few Oystercatchers have been seen most days and a pair of Swans flew majestically by on one occasion.

The group of Linnets mentioned last month are still around, too.
