The feeders have been well patronised this month, with all the usual residents much in evidence. We also have had a couple of sightings of Goldcrests and a Collared dove has been visiting a bit more frequently than usual.

The real bonus though came on a very rare snowy day. Looking out to admire the picturesque scene, I was greeted with the sight of this pair of Fieldfares, presumably swept south by the cold weather. We saw one of them again later in the day but by the morning the snow was gone and so, apparently, were the Fieldfares.
