It is changeover time on the cliff, as migration gets underway. The Rock Pipits were not in evidence at all, and the first part of the month seemed very quiet.

However, on the 20th March the first Wheatears were seen and although the first ones seemed to move on immediately, the next group seem to be staying on a little longer.

A few days later, the Linnets arrived and the Skylarks are now regularly heard (and occasionally seen) indulging in their high altitude singing.

On the water, the Great Crested Grebes have put in several appearances, on one occasion as a group of four.
