The first Wheatears and Chiffchaffs turned up on schedule at the middle of the month and the first Linnet sighting just crept in on the 31st.

The Skylarks are still more often heard than seen, but the Stonechats and Dunnocks are both singing and displaying vigourously.

As last year, the Grey Wagtails seem to have disappeared and the last Rock Pipits were seen early in the month.
