Consistent with last year, we had just the one visit from a Longtailed tit during the month and the Wren has also made itself visible occasionally. No further Blackcap sightings though.

Towards the end of the month a group of three Bluetits started showing considerable interest in the nesting box. In previous years this has come to nothing but we remain hopeful that they will take up residence sooner or later.

Large quantities of loft insulation scattered over the drive testified to the fact that the Starlings have found their way past our new plastic fascias. Judging by the noise they are making, they are quite proud of this achievement!
