After a gap of a couple of months, it was a real delight to get out walking around again. We managed just the one trip around Stanpit Marsh, and towards the end of the walk, came across this flock of Brent Geese. These are apparently common Winter visitors in the area and we do occasionally see them flying by our local cliff at Barton.

There were lots of waders out on the sandbars in the harbour, but most were too far away for me to identify. Unmistakable though were the Oystercatchers, Little Egrets and Cormorants.

Back on the river, a Grey Heron was doing its usual statue impression.
