Two 'firsts' for me on the undercliff around the middle of the month:

Dartford Warblers put in an appearance and were visible over a period of 10 days or so amongst the gorse and scrub. This coincided with a spell of northerly winds, so maybe the south-facing cliff provided a bit of shelter from the chill.

On another walk, alerted by unusually loud complaints from the gulls, I looked up to see two Peregrine Falcons being escorted off the premises. Whether the Peregrines were actively hunting in the area or merely passing through, I don't know.

Purple Sandpipers have again been seen amongst a group of Turnstones, prompting me to wonder whether this is the same group that I saw last year.
