The Winter visitors to the South coast have now well and truly arrived. Huge numbers of Brent Geese dominate the salt flats and there seem to be lots more Golden Plover than last year, too. Perhaps the most unusual sighting was a single Long-tailed Duck which has been around all month, albeit not yet within range of my handheld camera.

I did manage my first pictures of Pintails though as well as some rather distant shots of the Golden Plover.

On a walk around a local country park, I had another game of hide and seek with a Treecreeper. Considering how close it was, the pictures still leave a lot to be desired. There was a Nuthatch too, but I never even came close to photographing that.
