After a prolonged spell of wet weather, the Council have 're-asserted' the closure of part of the undercliff with new signs. In truth, the high winds have been even more of a deterrent to cliff walks than the rain.

There have been some highlights though, including a nice view of a Little Egret flying by, presumably en route from Stanpit to Keyhaven.

The Swallows and Housemartins were around in unusually large numbers until the middle of the month, until they eventually departed for warmer climes. The last of Wheatears seem to have passed through too.
