It has been bumper month on the cliff, with seemingly different birds to see on each visit. Some of these, like the Grey Wagtails which appeared late in the month, were returning after a Summer absence but the Sandwich Terns were completely new to me (I suspect that last year I assumed they were Common Terns and didn't get a close look). According to the book, the Sandwich Tern is a passage migrant, so they presumably won't be around for long.

The Wheatears are still around most days and at last one of them was good enough to let me get some decent pictures.
