Sealand Diary - April 2007

The first few days of April were windy so I used the time to produce some fairings for the undercarriage and outline the doors and undercarriage wells in felt tip pen before the opportunity came for the maiden flight. Before committing to air though, there was a chance for a few more photos (all pictures on this page will enlarge) ...

... then it was time to hand the camera to Clive Spencer and get on with it. I took the tip floats off for the maiden flight. At a wing loading of around 13oz/sq ft, the model flies really slowly and behaves impeccably.

Heartened by the success of the maiden flight, next time out I left the tip floats on. This time the cameraman was Andrew Tubb.
