Sealand Diary - December 2006

Holding down the sheeting in the concave areas was a bit of a challenge but, apart from that, the forward area of the hull is relatively straightforward.

Whereas the rear step area is a bit more intricate:

I wanted to recess the maingear torque rods which meant a bit of extra work to ensure that the hull remained watertight.

It did take three attempts to get rid of the leaks, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how bouyant the hull is, even when ballasted up to well over the design weight.
