Difficult to know where to start this month! The Wheatears are back, having been first sighted on 7th August, We have a regular Great Black-backed Gull with what looks like a juvenile in tow, and a family of six Cormorants have been fishing off the local breakwater. A group of Ringed Plovers, including four very young ones stopped by too.

On top of that I have seen my first Yellow Wagtails, and have managed to get much better pictures of the Common Tern and the Sandmartins, both of which include juveniles. The Whitethroats have been seen feeding their young and a few Goldfinches stopped by to feed with the Linnets for a few days. The House Martins are still around, but continue to defeat my attempts to photograph them.
