Although it is in the area all the year round, the great tit is not a frequent visitor. In 2002 the great tits were nesting next door and, even when we didn't see them, they could be heard on most days.

In the Autumn though, they were tempted onto the feeders again.

In Autumn 2003 the Great Tits again began to frequent the feeders, enabling me to get another picture.

The Great Tits are rarely seen on the undercliff, so I was surprised one day to come across a whole family of them one day. The adult was very active, presumably looking for food for the youngsters, like the one on the left.
