Each time this bird landed on another tree, it seemed immediately to crawl around to the back. Although it is quite well camouflaged, the Treecreeper was instantly recognisable by its behaviour, bracing itself with its tail against the tree trunk as it forages for insects in the bark.

Eighteen months after first spotting the Treecreeper at a local Country Park, we came across it again at the same spot. After an extended game of hide and seek around the pine trees, these were the best of over twenty pictures. None will enlarge though.
